Beginners will be introduced to pottery tools and terminology while more experienced potters will learn advanced techniques such as fabricating handles and spouts, fitting lids, trimming appealing functional bases, and more.

In our monthly classes, you will make several projects from start to finish, and develop camaraderie with your classmates and instructor while doing it. As the month progresses, Pottery Alley will fire your pieces in our kilns. During the final class, you’ll glaze the pieces you’ve created and we’ll fire them once more. Once they’re ready for pick-up, we’ll contact you so that you can take home and enjoy your one-of-a-kind artwork!

Wheel Throwing Classes

Learn how to transform clay from nondescript lumps to beautiful cups and bowls with the potter’s wheel.

Hand-building Classes

A very broad, creative, and fun subdiscipline of pottery, hand-building includes everything from simple, cookie-cut ornaments to ornate pieces of art or home décor. You will learn how to make awesome plates, coil-built bowls and vessels, pinch pot cups, or sculptures. Even if you have never worked in clay before, this is a great class to learn the basics and make some really cool pieces of pottery.
