Private classes are offered to students of all skill levels. As a beginner, you’ll learn the pottery basics: tools, terminology, and how to hand-build pieces or create works on the wheel. More experienced potters will learn advanced techniques such as fabricating handles and spouts, fitting lids, trimming appealing functional bases, and more. Food and beverages are allowed in the studio. Classes are held at your own pace, so pack a lunch and enjoy having the studio all to yourself.

Pottery projects take a few weeks to dry, glaze and fire. Once they’re ready, we’ll glaze your pieces according to your specifications and they should be available for pick up within a few weeks.

One-on-One Instruction

Because the studio is all yours, you can make whatever you’d like, from beautiful bowls and cups to hand-built pieces for your home or garden. Holidays ahead? You can create prized pumpkins or terrifying little monsters, Santas, angels, and gingerbread houses. Follow your imagination!

Couples Classes

What if quality time was also creative time? Collaborative magic happens at Pottery Alley with private couples classes. The two of you can make a pair of romantic candle holders and a set of wine glasses to celebrate your connection. Love can have practical expression too. Create a one-of-a-kind set of dishes or his and hers coffee mugs.
